Teresa E. Brown, DVM
Dr. Brown is a native of Oklahoma. She graduated from Oklahoma State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1987. She has been with Prince William Animal Hospital since 1990 and has been the practice owner since 1999.
Dezirae
Hospital Administrator
As Hospital Administrator, Dezirae spends most of her time making sure daily operations run smoothly. Dezirae is very passionate about her job at PWAH and cares very deeply about providing high-quality veterinary care and excellent client service. She works tirelessly to create an environment that feels welcoming where pet parents can be confident that their four-legged family member is receiving the best care from us here at PWAH. Outside of work, Dezirae shares her life with her husband, their 5-year-old son and their small zoo of pets which include dogs, cats, fish, a rabbit, and a family of chickens. She enjoys spending her free time with her family and being outdoors.
Dawn
Lead Customer Service Representative (CSR)
Dawn has been with the PWAH since 2018. Dawn has a passion for working with animals and making sure not only the pets coming in for appointments have a great experience but also their humans do as well. In Dawn’s free time she is passionate not only about her 2 pitties but her 3 amazing children and grand fur babies.
Brooke
Lead Veterinary Nurse
Brooke is a compassionate veterinary nurse who treats each patient that comes in like her own. Brooke started with us in March of 2023 and was cross trained initially as both a client service representative and a veterinary nurse. Brooke has excelled in her career here at PWAH. Brooke continues to learn and grow within the practice so she can help educate each client and their furry loved ones with the utmost care that they need and desire. When Brooke is not in the office she enjoys hanging out with her family, friends and 2 cats Ruby and Ivy. One day Brooke would love to further her knowledge and become a Licensed Veterinary Technician.
Natalie
Veterinary Nurse
Natalie is newer here to PWAH and very happy to be apart of a great team. Natalie is cross trained as a Client Service Representative and Veterinary Nurse. Natalie has always had a love for animals and is very passionate about her field. Natalie has been learning and working with animals since 2019 which started by taking a Veterinary Science class in her High School. Natalie has a couple fur babies of her own and has always grown up with pets in the house. Natalie is pursuing her passion with the Veterinary field by being enrolled with NOVA our local community college to become a Licensed Veterinary Technician.
Tyana
Veterinary Nurse
Tyana has worked with PWAH since 2019. Tyana will be attending the University of Missouri for her Master’s in Veterinary Public Health and then she plans to pursue her passion to becoming a DVM after she graduates. Tyana loves all animals but would consider herself a crazy cat lady! She only has one cat, Gigi, who she adopted through PWAH and will hopefully have a few more in the future.
Caleigh
Veterinary Nurse
Caleigh started her veterinary journey in 2020 while taking Veterinary Assistant courses at Ashworth College. In 2021 she started at her first hospital as a receptionist/assistant and fell in love with the field. After years of hard work, she was promoted to Veterinary Technician in 2024, but will be pursuing a Technician program to further her education to become Licensed. Originally from NJ, she only recently moved to VA with her husband and furry family. She is very excited about being part of the PWAH family and taking the best care of your pets.
Makayla
Veterinary Nurse
Makayla originally comes from Vancouver, WA but she grew up in Manassas, VA. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Biology and played four years of Division III collegiate softball at Roanoke College. Makayla discovered her love and passion for caring for animals through her experience with her eight rescue dogs, two of which have chronic medical conditions like diabetes and epilepsy. Makayla is also a dedicated dog mom to Franklin, a beagle she rescued from being left in a corn field. After working as a receptionist at a vet clinic in Roanoke, Va, wanting to be more hands on and involved in the medicine of this field, she became a veterinary technician in Charleston, SC. Makayla moved back home to Culpeper, VA where she is currently pursuing a concentration in Chemistry at George Mason University with the goal of attending veterinary school in the fall of 2025.
