Teresa E. Brown, DVM
Dr. Brown is a native of Oklahoma. She graduated from Oklahoma State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1987. She has been with Prince William Animal Hospital since 1990 and has been the practice owner since 1999.
Dezirae
Hospital Administrator
As Hospital Administrator, Dezirae spends most of her time making sure daily operations run smoothly. Dezirae is very passionate about her job at PWAH and cares very deeply about providing high-quality veterinary care and excellent client service. She works tirelessly to create an environment that feels welcoming where pet parents can be confident that their four-legged family member is receiving the best care from us here at PWAH. Outside of work, Dezirae shares her life with her husband, their 5-year-old son and their small zoo of pets which include dogs, cats, fish, a rabbit, and a family of chickens. She enjoys spending her free time with her family and being outdoors.
Dawn
Lead Customer Service Representative (CSR)
Dawn has been with the PWAH since 2018. Dawn has a passion for working with animals and making sure not only the pets coming in for appointments have a great experience but also their humans do as well. In Dawn’s free time she is passionate not only about her 2 pitties but her 3 amazing children and grand fur babies.
Ashtyn
Client Service Representative (CSR)
My name is Ashtyn. I started working at PWAH early March 2025 this year . I am starting my journey here as a client service representative in hopes of furthering my knowledge and getting cross trained in the back. My goal is to complete Nova’s program in hopes of becoming a licensed vet-tech. My passion has always been to work with animals and make a difference in their lives. Outside of work I love spending time with my parents and our two crazy but super lovable French bulldogs Jax and Broox .
Brooke
Lead Veterinary Nurse
Brooke is a compassionate veterinary nurse who treats each patient that comes in like her own. Brooke started with us in March of 2023 and was cross trained initially as both a client service representative and a veterinary nurse. Brooke has excelled in her career here at PWAH. Brooke continues to learn and grow within the practice so she can help educate each client and their furry loved ones with the utmost care that they need and desire. When Brooke is not in the office she enjoys hanging out with her family, friends and 2 cats Ruby and Ivy. One day Brooke would love to further her knowledge and become a Licensed Veterinary Technician.
Tyana
Veterinary Nurse
Tyana has worked with PWAH since 2019. Tyana will be attending the University of Missouri for her Master’s in Veterinary Public Health and then she plans to pursue her passion to becoming a DVM after she graduates. Tyana loves all animals but would consider herself a crazy cat lady! She only has one cat, Gigi, who she adopted through PWAH and will hopefully have a few more in the future.
Makayla
Veterinary Nurse
Makayla originally comes from Vancouver, WA but she grew up in Manassas, VA. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Biology and played four years of Division III collegiate softball at Roanoke College. Makayla discovered her love and passion for caring for animals through her experience with her eight rescue dogs, two of which have chronic medical conditions like diabetes and epilepsy. Makayla is also a dedicated dog mom to Franklin, a beagle she rescued from being left in a corn field. After working as a receptionist at a vet clinic in Roanoke, Va, wanting to be more hands on and involved in the medicine of this field, she became a veterinary technician in Charleston, SC. Makayla moved back home to Culpeper, VA where she is currently pursuing a concentration in Chemistry at George Mason University with the goal of attending veterinary school in the fall of 2025.
Megan
Veterinary Nurse
Megan started her career in veterinary medicine in 2008 in emergency medicine. Megan loves all animals especially DOGS! I currently have a cocker spaniel named Willow! She is 3 and 1/2 years old. I have spent the last 2 years in general practice and love getting to know and love all the patients that come here. Thank you for allowing me to help your pet.
Brittany
Veterinary Nurse
Brittany has been described as a "homebody" who is always on the go, but everywhere she goes has something to do with animals. She has worked at a daycare and boarding facility, a rescue, a training company, and dog walking. She graduated with an associate's degree in Business Management in 2020, has completed many animal care certificates, and has made the decision to go back to college to become a veterinary technician. At home, Brittany and her husband have 2 teenage boys, 3 of their own rescue dogs, 2 guinea pigs, a bearded dragon, and a crested gecko. Brittany is a hobbyist dog trainer who is always looking for training opportunities with her best boy, Neptune. Hiking with her dogs is one of her favorite activities outside of the house, along with volunteering at a local rescue. At home, she enjoys painting, crocheting, or cross-stitch when she isn't doing schoolwork.
Jami
Veterinary Assistant
Jami started his career in animal care while living in Florida in 2022. Jami is a passionate animal lover and rescue advocate. His love of animals started while living on a farm in Oklahoma, where he would take care of his cow named Shoestring, chickens, along with other animals. Jami’s pet family includes seven dogs and seven cats (all rescues), two snakes, and a crested gecko. He spends his free time with his family, friends, and enjoying nature.
